For this event, Kyosuke Atsumi, who has collected fashion photo T-shirts from around the world, has selected fashion photo T-shirts and fashion brand logo T-shirts from the 1980s and 90s. Many of the photo T-shirts made at the time are now hard to find, making them highly sought-after items in the vintage market.

The lineup includes official 1990s T-shirts featuring portraits of River Phoenix photographed by Bruce Weber and Yoko Ono photographed by Robert Mapplethorpe, alongside items such as a 1990s Häagen-Dazs promotional T-shirt that circulated only through advertising and promotional channels at the time. Prices range from around ¥30,000 to ¥850,000 (all tax included), with some items available upon inquiry.

NEVERLAND's Own Tags Convey the Story Behind Each Piece

The tag included with each NEVERLAND item (reference image)

Rather than simply selling T-shirts as vintage items, NEVERLAND attaches a description written by owner Kyosuke Atsumi to each piece.

The tags include basic information such as the photographer and the era in which the photo was taken, along with background on the fashion, music, art, and culture of the era in which the work was created. Conveying the historical context behind each T-shirt and its visual is one of the things NEVERLAND values most.

Turning Vintage T-Shirts From "Collectibles" Into "Styling"

Vintage T-shirts are usually discussed and sold as one-off items valued for their rarity. This event goes a step further, proposing styling that turns these pieces — understood in their historical context — into looks for the present day.

Stylist Kim-Chang, active in men's fashion magazines for over 30 years, directs the styling around the keyword "how grown-ups wear Ginza." Pairing vintage T-shirts with jackets and bags from luxury brands, the event presents "high & low" looks that cross between mode and street style.

Comment From NEVERLAND Owner Kyosuke Atsumi

For this event, I selected pieces around the concept of "fashion," focusing on '80s and '90s brand logos and photo T-shirts that are rare even by global standards.

The stage is CHELSEA VINTAGE ROOM in Ginza, and I feel truly honored to hold this event in such a special space. I wanted to bring one-of-a-kind photo T-shirts, faded with age, into mode fashion. I'm proposing a luxurious "high & low" styling that fuses high-end pieces with street culture.

I hope you'll enjoy the atmosphere not just as clothing, but the way you'd appreciate a piece of art.
