Fresh Melon Takes Center Stage at Marunouchi Hotel's Early Summer Pomme d'Adam Afternoon Tea

From April 27 to June 30, 2026, the 8th-floor French restaurant Pomme d'Adam at Marunouchi Hotel is presenting a seasonal afternoon tea titled "Pomme d'Adam Afternoon Tea: A Melody of Early Summer Beckoned by Melon." Melon serves as the hero ingredient, showcasing its juicy sweetness through a lineup of both sweets and savories that capture the light, refreshing character of the season.

A Lineup of Melon-Inspired Sweets and Savories

The sweets selection features several melon-forward creations. The Crème d'Ange with Melon layers a light cream made from fromage blanc and sour cream with the delicate sweetness of melon. The Melon and Almond Tofu pairs the gentle sweetness of almond tofu with a bright accent of lime. The Melon Shortcake and Matcha Marriage brings together the rich depth of matcha with the airy sweetness of melon. Additional sweets include a Mango Pudding garnished with melon and coconut for a tropical touch, and a Dark Cherry and Rhubarb Cheese Tart with a bittersweet finish, alongside a Vanilla Macaron.

On the savory side, melon also plays a supporting role. A Caesar Salad with Melon and Prosciutto is presented as a wrap sandwich, where the saltiness of the prosciutto plays off the melon's sweetness. A chilled Melon and Yogurt Soup offers a cool, refreshing option. The savory course is rounded out with a Chicken Salad and Fava Bean Hummus, a Curry-Flavored Escabeche, and Cherry Tomato Verrines made with cherry tomatoes at their seasonal peak.

Plain scones are served with clotted cream and marmalade, and the cafe-free 120-minute drink service includes a seasonal recommendation of Lychee Tea (iced), as well as coffee, tea, and herbal tea options.

Optional Mini Dessert: Melon and Sencha Parfait

For an additional ¥1,000, guests can order the Melon and Sencha Parfait as a mini dessert. It layers melon jelly, sencha crumble, and espuma, striking a balance between the melon's sweetness and a pleasantly bitter green tea note.
