Pullman Tokyo Tamachi Hosts "Japanese Whisky Fair" Featuring Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Hibiki

Pullman Tokyo Tamachi (3-1-21 Shibaura, Minato, Tokyo), a premium lifestyle hotel by French hospitality group Accor, will hold a limited-time "Japanese Whisky Fair" from June 1 to August 31, 2026. The event offers guests a chance to savor some of the finest — and rarest — Japanese whiskies available.

The fair takes place at JUNCTION, the hotel's lounge and bar, which features dynamic artwork where the bold colors of kabuki kumadori face painting meet a contemporary aesthetic. The lineup centers on Japanese whiskies that have seen soaring global recognition while growing increasingly rare and difficult to obtain. To illustrate how much these bottles have appreciated: Hibiki 30 Years has seen its price roughly triple in recent years alone.

Japan's Finest Whiskies in One Place

The fair brings together Suntory's most celebrated whisky labels: the single malts Yamazaki and Hakushu, and the blended whisky Hibiki Japanese Harmony — all recognized worldwide for their exceptional quality. Guests can enjoy finding their personal favorite from among these iconic expressions.

For those seeking something truly rare, two exceptionally hard-to-find bottles have been secured: Hibiki 30 Years and Hibiki 100th Anniversary Blend, each available as a single bottle on a first-come, first-served basis. Bottles purchased under the bottle-keep service may be enjoyed at any restaurant, bar, lounge, or terrace within the hotel, allowing guests to experience the same bottle in a variety of settings throughout their visit.

Tasting Set for Easy Entry

For those new to Japanese whisky, a tasting set lets you sample all three expressions at 15ml each — a perfect way to explore the different character of Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Hibiki Japanese Harmony before choosing a favorite.

Japanese Whisky Lineup

· Single Malt Whisky Yamazaki
Crafted exclusively from malt spirits produced at the Yamazaki Distillery — the birthplace of domestic malt whisky in Japan — Yamazaki is the country's defining single malt. Born from the interplay of various Yamazaki malts, including the traditional mizunara (Japanese oak) cask expression and the innovative wine cask-aged malt, it delivers a soft, elegant aroma with hints of strawberry and a sweet, luminous, smooth finish.
Glass ¥3,000 / Bottle ¥35,000

· Single Malt Whisky Hakushu
Made solely from malt spirits born at the "forest distillery" using natural water from Japan's Southern Alps, Hakushu draws on a vatting of diverse spirits — including lightly peated malt with fresh, verdant aromas and a subtle smokiness, alongside multi-layered spirits of complexity and depth. The result is a fresh aroma, a clean and brisk palate, and a light, gentle finish that makes it a natural companion for a warm summer evening.
Glass ¥3,000 / Bottle ¥35,000

· Hibiki Japanese Harmony
Conceived around the idea of distilling Japan's four seasons, the refined sensibility of the Japanese people, and the artisanal skills of Japanese craftsmen, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is a carefully crafted blended whisky defined by its beautifully balanced harmony of diverse spirits. Its elegant aroma and gently mellow, deeply satisfying flavor carry little bitterness, making it an approachable and welcome choice even for first-time Japanese whisky drinkers.
Glass ¥3,000 / Bottle ¥35,000

· Hibiki 100th Anniversary Blend
Created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Suntory Whisky, this rare Hibiki was available only through a limited lottery release. Carefully selected spirits aged 17 years or more are blended with Yamazaki mizunara cask malt aged over 30 years and well-matured Chita grain spirits, then finished with great care. The familiar Hibiki elegance of aroma and rounded, refined taste gains a firm sense of maturation and complexity, with a pleasant acidity and fruitiness from long-aged malt.

Presented in Hibiki's signature calligraphy bottle — a natural Echizen washi paper label bearing the kanji "響" brushed in ink — and accompanied by a certificate. Available as one bottle only (first come, first served).
Bottle ¥200,000 (not available by the glass)

· Hibiki 30 Years

With only a few thousand bottles produced each year, Hibiki 30 Years is an extremely rare limited release whose value has continued to climb annually. Created to commemorate Suntory's 90th anniversary, it is widely regarded as a masterpiece of blended whisky. The malt spirits are carefully selected from Suntory's prized extra-long-aged casks — each a minimum of 30 years old — and blended with grain spirits of equal maturity. The result is a richly abundant sweet and floral aroma from ultra-long-aged malt, a smooth palate, and a distinctly bold depth of flavor. Because of the small quantities involved, every step of production is carried out by hand.

Presented in a 30-faceted crystal bottle — a vessel befitting this ultimate expression of the distiller's art — and available as one bottle only (first come, first served).
Bottle ¥990,000 (not available by the glass)

It is a distinctly Japanese hospitality custom — the pleasure of having your own bottle waiting at a hotel you can make your own.
