Garden Dining Kanraku (ガーデンダイニング環樂), the Japanese restaurant on the 4th floor of the Sapporo Grand Hotel's main building, is relaunching its "Japanese Afternoon Tea Set" (和のアフタヌーンティー御膳) starting May 1, 2026 (Friday). The menu has been renewed with a new presentation in a three-tiered wooden box, offering seasonal dimsum and a wide assortment of Japanese sweets alongside Japanese tea.

Garden Dining Kanraku is a Japanese restaurant where guests can enjoy their meals while taking in views of the rooftop Japanese garden, which changes with each season. With the renewal, the "Japanese Afternoon Tea Set" now comes presented in a three-tiered wooden box. The menu rotates seasonally, pairing dimsum and confections with Japanese tea.
The wooden box is filled with a variety of water sweets (水菓子), including the restaurant's popular anmitsu and sesame dumplings, along with wasanbon pudding, matcha terrine, milk agar jelly, and warabi mochi. The dimsum course features three kinds of temari sushi, two seasonal small dishes, and a miso soup. Tea is provided by Chamasho Yabeen (茶匠矢部園), with selections including premium tsuyu hikari (極上つゆひかり) and premium kukihojicha (極上くきほうじ茶).
The set offers a leisurely way to enjoy the early summer Japanese garden views, and also works well as a late lunch option.
