A two-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station, JR East Hotel Mets Premier Sapporo (operated by NIPPON HOTEL Co., Ltd., JR East Hotel Mets Division) is bringing back its special concept room, "Suica Penguin Private Living Room," where guests can spend time with the Suica Penguin. The room goes on sale for a limited time starting October 3 (Saturday), 2026.
This time around, the space has been refreshed with a new autumn look. This will be the final time the concept room is offered at JR East Hotel Mets Premier Sapporo. Guests staying in the room will also receive an original room key and other novelties they can take home as travel keepsakes, available only to those who book the room.

The "Suica Penguin Private Living Room" is a limited-time concept room where guests can enjoy a moment of Hygge — the Nordic sense of coziness and comfort. The room first debuted last December, and thanks to its popularity, returned this past July with a summer-themed look. This time, the space has been refreshed once again with an autumn theme. This will be the final time the concept room is sold at the Sapporo property. Guests can take photos with the Suica Penguin and simply relax during their private time in the room. As mementos of the trip, guests staying in the room will also receive novelties available only to overnight guests: an original room key, an original drawstring pouch, and an original embroidered can badge.
Hygge is a Danish word referring to a feeling of coziness, comfort, and the sense of happiness that comes from it.
