THE ELEMENTAL, an inn set on the shores of Lake Kussharo in the Kawayu area of Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido, is introducing a new lunch course. The French full-course lunch is limited to two groups per day and puts the ingredients of eastern Hokkaido front and center.
A Local Hub Connecting Teshikaga's Nature Through Food
The Kawayu area of Teshikaga, where the facility sits, is blessed with abundant nature yet has had only a limited number of places to sit down and enjoy a leisurely meal. The aim of the new lunch is to let not only overnight guests but also local residents and travelers experience the "element" — the essential appeal — of this land through food. The inn also hopes to serve as a "local hub" where people can pause amid the beautiful scenery, contributing to the vitality of the Kawayu area of Teshikaga.
A Plate Where Eastern Hokkaido's Vitality Meets Seasonal Flavors from Across Japan
From the appetizers to dessert, the full course is designed to draw out the character of each ingredient. Its foundation is the produce nurtured by Hokkaido's soil, centered on the eastern part of the region. True to the name "ELEMENTAL" (essential), select delicacies are also sourced from across Japan whenever another region is where a given ingredient shines brightest.

Price: ¥10,000 (excluding tax) per person
Hours: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (all guests start together at 12:00 PM). Please arrive by 11:50 AM.
Ages: Junior high school students and older
Capacity: Up to 2 groups / 6 guests per day (maximum 8 guests per group)
