THE THOUSAND KYOTO (ザ・サウザンド京都), a flagship hotel of the Keihan Group located a two-minute walk east of JR Kyoto Station, will serve a lineup of four limited-time early summer sweets at its second-floor café and bar "TEA AND BAR" (ティー アンド バー). Three seasonal cakes will be available from May 1 (Friday) through July 31 (Friday), 2026, while a seasonal melon parfait joins the menu from May 29 (Friday) through July 12 (Sunday), 2026.

Ligne de Citron et Thé (Lemon and Tea Line)

A honey lemon mousse encloses a tangy lemon curd at its center. Paired with lemon tea ice cream, it delivers soft sweetness followed by a refreshing acidic finish.

Available from May 29 (Friday) to July 12 (Sunday), 2026, the "Luxe Melon Bowl" (リュクス・メロン・ボウル) is a seasonal parfait served inside an actual melon used as a vessel. Two varieties of fresh melon are the stars, layered with a sparkling cider jelly and a gentle almond milk pudding. Delicate white chocolate feathers and silver leaf add a finishing touch. The dessert aims to deliver the natural sweetness and fragrance of the fruit in its most direct form.

Running concurrently from May 29 (Friday) to July 12 (Sunday), "THE MELON SEASON Parfait Afternoon Tea" (ザ メロン シーズン パルフェ アフタヌーンティー) is the first installment in the four-season "THE FRUITS SEASON Parfait Afternoon Tea" series. The melon-focused menu features sweets and savory items showcasing the season's ripe melons.

Guests attending the Parfait Afternoon Tea have the option to upgrade the welcome parfait to the "Luxe Melon Bowl" for an additional ¥2,000 (advance reservation by noon, two days prior required).
