Atami Pearlstar Hotel Serves a Pear and Chestnut Autumn Harvest Afternoon Tea From October 19

Atami Pearlstar Hotel in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, welcomes guests with a Japanese spirit of hospitality that treasures the culture of "shitsurai" (seasonal table settings), cherishes the passing of the seasons, honors nature, and gives thanks for its blessings.

From Monday, October 19, 2026, the hotel serves the "Pear and Chestnut Autumn Harvest Afternoon Tea" at Ocean Breeze on the 1st floor. Pears, chestnuts, apples, and figs at their autumn peak, along with Mishima sweet potatoes and pumpkin grown in the Hakone western foothills, have been turned into sweets and savories that capture the abundance of the season.

The star of the menu is the pear, presented in two items: the "Pear Parfait," layering mousse containing house-made compote with pear jelly and hojicha jelly, and the "Whole Pear Tart," topped with an entire pear slowly poached in house-made syrup.

The sweets lineup also includes a chestnut and chocolate mousse made with shibukawa chestnuts, a marron pie combining white bean paste and chestnut, a pain de Gênes topped with seasonal figs, and a Mishima sweet potato Basque cheesecake. The savories also use pumpkin from the Hakone western foothills, autumn eggplant, and sweet potato, and the first drink is the fruity "Grated Apple Ade."

From sweets and savories to drinks, enjoy the flavors of the season as autumn deepens.
