Yumura Onsen ryokan Yuamu (山陰湯村温泉 湧泉の宿ゆあむ), located in Shinonsen-cho in northern Hyogo Prefecture, will offer a special spring gourmet plan from April 1 to June 15, 2026. The plan highlights four seasonal specialties: Kasumi Crab (1.0 full serving), Tajima beef, nodoguro, and a local shrimp tasting.

Yumura Onsen sits surrounded by mountains in Shinonsen-cho, a town bordering Tottori Prefecture and fronting the Sea of Japan. The area is known for its fresh seafood, locally grown vegetables, and Sanin-produced rice.

Kasumi Crab (Treasure Box Grilling Style)

Spring/Autumn Limited – Kasumi Crab Treasure Box Grilling

Kasumi Crab refers to the red snow crab (beni-zuwai-gani) caught at Kasumi Port in Hyogo Prefecture. Raised in mineral-rich deep seawater, the crab is known for its high moisture content and distinctive sweetness.

The "Kasumi Crab Treasure Box (Hobako) Grilling" presentation combines carefully selected portions from several crabs to create a full 1.0-crab-equivalent serving, resulting in a well-filled dish. The tender crab meat, rich crab miso sauce, and loosened crab flesh can be enjoyed with chopsticks without getting hands dirty.

Tajima Beef

Tajima beef is a brand wagyu beef raised in Hyogo Prefecture's Tajima region. The bloodline has been carefully preserved over generations without crossbreeding with cattle from other prefectures. The beef is characterized by its low subcutaneous fat, quality muscle fiber, and the balanced richness of lean meat and marbling.

Nodoguro

Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) is a premium white-fleshed fish sometimes called the "toro of white fish." Its name comes from the black coloring inside its throat.

Local Shrimp Tasting

Local shrimp caught in the Sea of Japan off Sanin can be enjoyed as sashimi for a side-by-side tasting. The selection includes "mosa shrimp," which spoils quickly and rarely reaches distant markets, and "sweet shrimp," known for its deep sweetness and richness. The shrimp are served pre-shelled for easy eating.

Natural Hot Spring (Large Public Bath)

Yuamu is a hot spring inn located in Yumura Onsen in northern Hyogo Prefecture, known as a "beauty hot spring." The interior design is inspired by Toyooka Kiryu craftsmanship (a traditional Hyogo wicker weaving technique), built around the concept of "weaving."

Semi-Outdoor Hot Spring Guest Room

The inn offers a variety of room types, including the in-room semi-outdoor hot spring guest room "Kawami" (renovated in 2023), Japanese modern twin rooms with bare-foot flooring, and traditional Japanese-style tatami rooms.

Meals are served as creative kaiseki cuisine centered on the theme of "gentle on the body," with locally sourced ingredients for both dinner and breakfast.
