Asakusa View Hotel in Taito Ward, Tokyo has started taking reservations for its 2026 Christmas cakes.
For anyone who would rather spend Christmas relaxing at home, the hotel has prepared five takeout Christmas cakes. The lineup includes the classic Strawberry Shortcake, the Pistache cake with its pistachio aroma, and a Mont Blanc Tart that also comes in a size for two, so there are options to suit different tastes and group sizes.
For a Christmas table with family and loved ones, the hotel also offers hotel-made dishes and baked sweets alongside the cakes.
Christmas Cakes
Strawberry Shortcake (ストロベリー・ショート)
A popular shortcake with moist sponge and lightly sweetened, soft whipped cream with a pleasant texture.

Chocolate Shortcake (ショコラ・ショート)
A sponge made with fragrant cacao, coated in Belgian chocolate cream. This chocolate cake pairs well with the acidity of strawberries.

Mont Blanc Tart (モンブランタルト)
Chestnut mousse and vanilla bavarois sit on a fragrant, toasty tart crust and are topped with piped marron cream made from a blend of three types of chestnuts. A cassis confiture inside the tart adds an accent, pairing the rich, fragrant chestnut with the tartness of cassis. This year, a size for two is also available.

Pistache (ピスターシュ)
Rich pistachio mousse is layered with a dense, smooth-melting pistachio ganache and raspberry confiture, giving the cake depth and balance. The cake brings out the full aroma and toasty flavor of pistachio.

A cute cake designed to look like a Christmas wreath. Inside the sweet-tart strawberry mousse is a vanilla mousse with a strong milky flavor, which brings out the fresh strawberry taste.

Christmas Party Set and Rotisserie Chicken
Christmas Party Set (クリスマス パーティーセット)
A party-size set of roast chicken, made by slowly roasting a young chicken until moist and juicy, and the hotel's original beef stew. It is meant to be enjoyed together with a Christmas cake.

Stollen (シュトーレン)
Dried fruit soaked in rum for a year gives the stollen its rich flavor and aroma. The melt-in-the-mouth dough is dusted with mellow, flavorful kibi sugar (cane sugar) and wasanbon sugar, and Sweets & Bakery Honoka (穂乃華) puts great care into making it.
