As summer arrives in Atami, Pearl Star Hotel is presenting a special "Melon & Peach Afternoon Tea" that puts two beloved seasonal fruits front and center: melon grown in Shizuoka Prefecture and juicy peach from Yamanashi Prefecture, one of Japan's leading peach-producing regions.

The fruits' natural aromas, sweetness, and freshness are showcased through an array of sweets including tarts, shortcakes, mousses, jellies, and sorbets, alongside savory items such as Benifuuki (紅富貴) scones and a colorful terrine.

Melon & Peach Sorbet Duo — Two sorbets made from Shizuoka melon and Yamanashi peach, served with house-made purée, crispy feuilletine, and a house-made waffle.

White Peach Mousse — A delicate two-layer dessert with house-made white peach compote enclosed in a light white peach mousse and fromage blanc mousse.

Melon Tartlet — A golden tart shell filled with custard cream and topped with Shizuoka-grown melon.

Benifuuki (紅富貴) Scone with Peach Jam — A scone infused with Shizuoka-grown Benifuuki (紅富貴) Japanese black tea, served with house-made peach jam and clotted cream.

A complimentary Shizuoka Melon Soda with Whole Melon Chunks is served as the first drink — a seasonal special made with generous pieces of Shizuoka melon.

Room types available include the Superior Ocean View "ROTEN," which features a private open-air bath on the balcony, as well as other room categories.


Afternoon Tea & Spa Treatment Package

A day-use package is also available for non-staying guests, combining a 60-minute aromatherapy body treatment at in-hotel spa "An Spa Atami," access to the 10th-floor infinity bath, and a full afternoon tea at the hotel lounge.


Lounge Ocean Breeze

The lounge centers on refined conversation and relaxation. Despite its location overlooking the lively Atami Sun Beach, the space offers a refined calm and elegance that stands in contrast to the activity outside. A water feature crafted from Izu's distinctive black lava stone is adorned with seasonal flowers to welcome guests.

The lounge partners with local Shizuoka craft tea brand "Shizuoka Kocha," whose tea trees are cultivated on contracted farms and processed at the brand's own factory, as well as the historic German tea purveyor Ronnefeldt. Sweets are created by a pastry chef trained at renowned Japanese establishments.
