Célébration Champagne — A One-Night-Only Champagne Pommery Dinner Event at Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel's BELLOVISTO

Towers Bar "BELLOVISTO" (40F) at Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in Shibuya is hosting "Célébration Champagne," a champagne-and-dinner pairing event, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Reservations are required. This edition features four curated selections from Champagne Pommery, the prestigious champagne house founded in 1836 and widely recognized as a pioneer of brut (dry) champagne.

"Célébration Champagne" is a recurring event that selects a single champagne house each time and invites guests to enjoy champagne alongside a one-night-only special dinner in a space surrounded by the glittering night skyline. This edition spotlights Champagne Pommery, with four selections on offer.

Pommery Brut Royal is available as a two-hour free-flow option — the signature champagne that embodies the Pommery style. Its freshness, refined mouthfeel, and elegant aroma complement the cuisine and create a graceful dining experience. By the glass, guests can also enjoy Pommery Cuvée Louise 2008, the house's prestige champagne, and Pommery Royal Blue Sky, a distinctive release with an eye-catching vivid blue bottle evoking the sky and sea of a beautiful beach resort. A particular highlight of the evening is Clos Pompadour Blanc de Blancs 2017, the debut release from the newly established label "Maison Pompadour," crafted entirely from grapes grown in Pommery's own estate vineyard — also served by the glass. A one-night-only dinner course created by the chef with champagne pairings in mind — including an appetizer, fish course, meat course, and dessert — completes the experience.

Brand Ambassador Ken Moroi, President and CEO of Vranken Pommery Japan, will be present to share the story of the maison and his recommendations for savoring each champagne. An evening of dramatic city views, exceptional champagne, and refined cuisine awaits.

Champagne Selections

Pommery Brut Royal (Free Flow)

The quintessential expression of the Pommery style. Pale yellow with a hint of green, it shows lively, attractive bubbles. Aromas of citrus and white flowers lend softness to the nose, with nuances of small red fruits as well. Fresh and refined on the palate, the wine strikes a harmonious balance of vivacity and elegance. Round and full-bodied, it closes with a long finish and clean aftertaste.

Pommery Cuvée Louise 2008 (1 glass)

Pale gold in color with delicate bubbles. The nose presents aromas of toast, dried fruit, citrus, hazelnut, orange peel, and a smoky nuance. On the palate, a linear balance of sharp acidity and sweetness unfolds, followed by a silky texture and a long, saline-tinged finish.

Pommery Royal Blue Sky (1 glass)

Brilliant pale yellow in the glass. The nose opens with dried fig and toasted almond, followed by pastry, honey, and elegant citrus nuances, with a spicy impression at the end. Full-bodied and silky on the palate, evoking ripe mango and orange marmalade, it glides to a long, pleasant, fresh finish.

Clos Pompadour Blanc de Blancs 2017 (1 glass)

The nose combines refinement and richness, with a bouquet of honey and vanilla layered over aromas of green plum and tangerine. With time, notes of lemon verbena, orange blossom, and bergamot emerge. The palate begins with a clean, mineral attack, leading to a sculpted, silky texture. Aromatic and fresh in the mouth, with a lingering finish of iodine and lemon.

Champagne Pommery's special single-vineyard plot, Clos Pompadour, has been established as a new champagne house. Planted by Henri Vanier in the 19th century, this particular parcel pursues a pure expression of its unique terroir, drawing on the intellectual and technical expertise passed down through Pommery. The estate has long been committed to sustainable viticulture and continues to cultivate a biodiverse vineyard.

About Champagne Pommery

Founded in Reims, the heart of Champagne, in 1836, Champagne Pommery grew to become one of Champagne's largest producers after Madame Pommery created the region's first-ever brut (dry) champagne in 1874. Today, the Pommery style — elegant aromas, a fresh and lively taste, and an appealing long finish — continues to be upheld through the spirit inherited from Madame Pommery and the refined sensibility and technical expertise of the house's cellar master.
