Chunichi Building in Sakae, Nagoya, holds its winter promotion "CHUNICHI BUILDING CHRISTMAS" (願いの数だけ、ときめきが見つかる。, "Find as many thrills as you have wishes") from Friday, November 13 to Friday, December 25, 2026.
This year's main decoration is a large "moon object" in the B1 atrium, linked to the key visual, together with interactive objects themed on opening up your luck. A romantic illumination space also appears on the 7F rooftop plaza, and floors throughout the building host a fortune-telling rally supervised by professional fortune teller Akari Maki (真木あかり) that lets visitors find out their lucky action for this winter.
The program also includes a Christmas wreath workshop held with the green and interior shop Rust Sakae, an Instagram campaign with prizes, and other hands-on activities.

CHUNICHI BUILDING CHRISTMAS: Find as many thrills as you have wishes (願いの数だけ、ときめきが見つかる。)
The dreamlike key visual features a moon and stars shining in the night sky, stacked gift boxes, and the warm glow of candles. The whole building is decorated around it in a festive holiday mood.
In the visual's world, Santa Claus sits on a crescent moon and scatters stars. The star-shaped frames contain motifs such as a clock, glasses, and perfume, all meant as gifts for someone special or for yourself.

Amano's work adds color to everyday life with a distinctive use of color and a gentle yet emotional world. The artist is active in a wide range of fields, including advertising, books, and textiles.

B1: "Wish Tree" and Interactive Objects for Opening Up Your Luck
The B1 installation is linked to the visual by illustrator Ayano Amano. A dynamic crescent moon object 3 m in diameter stands in the atrium. The "stars filled with wishes" scattered by Santa Claus on the moon pour into the main tree, the "Wish Tree." The finished tree is warm and gold-based, with silver and blue accents. Various interactive objects are placed around it.
Walk Through, Sit, Wish, and Peek: Interactive Objects
- Walk through (くぐる): A gate that sets your luck "in motion."
- Sit (すわる): A resting bench in a space overflowing with luck, where you "store up" luck.
- Wish (ねがう): A room where you make a wish and "grab" your luck.
- Peek (のぞく): A book that lets you "know" your luck. Peek inside to make luck your ally.

7F Rooftop Plaza: Illumination and "Moon Bench" Photo Spot
The 7F rooftop plaza offers views of the Sakae cityscape. A new "Moon Bench," linked to the crescent moon on B1, is installed there. Visitors can sit on it, and neon objects around it create a space where you can relax and lose track of time.
Champagne-gold illumination also shines in the planting area and softly lights the trees. Together with the sparkling night view, the rooftop illumination makes a photo spot.
Take a Photo Seated on the "Moon Bench"
The "Moon Bench" is a new photo spot linked to the atrium decoration on B1. Sit on the large crescent moon and hold up a star-shaped neon light for a romantic shot that looks as if you were grabbing a star from the night sky. The photo can include the Sakae cityscape and night view.

"HOLIDAY FORTUNE" Rally: A Self-Guided Fortune-Telling Tour
Visitors walk freely around the building and try fortune-telling at "fortune panels" placed on each floor. Professional fortune teller Akari Maki, who has numerous accomplishments, supervises the whole program. Although it is a self-service format, it aims to give satisfying readings.
The rally asks what your fortune looks like from the holiday season into 2027.

Christmas Events and Campaigns
Christmas Concert
Students from Kinjo Gakuin (金城学院) junior and senior high school perform as the "Handbell Choir" and the "Glee Club." The concert is a cultural tradition that has long been enjoyed as a seasonal Christmas event. Elegant performances and singing, including hymns and Christmas songs, will fill the December streets.
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir at Kinjo Gakuin was formed in 1970. M. I. Kelly, then a music missionary at the junior high school, donated handbells with support from a church in the United States, and Japan's first handbell choir was created. Since its founding, the group has valued "using one's gifts for God and for people," and mainly performs at worship services, churches, and other facilities as service performances.
Glee Club
The Glee Club is made up of students from the first year of junior high school through the third year of high school and performs in various settings throughout the year. It takes an active part in competitions and has earned excellent results, including a gold prize at an international competition. International exchange through music is also one of its key activities, and a performance trip to Poland is planned for March 2027.

Christmas Wreath Workshop
