Clarks Originals has unveiled the Godney Boat Shoe as part of its Spring/Summer 2026 lineup. Inspired by the season's "Desert Ivy" theme, the design revisits the ivy-style boat shoe from a contemporary perspective.
The boat shoe traces its origins to practical use on yacht decks, and by the 1950s and '60s it had become a defining element of Ivy League campus style. Over the decades, it found its way into preppy and street fashion circles alike, earning repeated reappraisal across generations. With the Godney Boat Shoe, Clarks Originals approaches the silhouette not by replicating its heritage, but by recalibrating it for today through the lens of craft and culture.

The shoe features Clarks Originals' signature crepe sole, intentionally kept thin to preserve the lightweight, classic boat shoe profile. Paired with a supple leather upper, the construction is designed to conform naturally to the foot over time.
The men's lineup comes in British Tan Leather and Navy Combi, while the women's lineup offers British Tan Leather and White Leather. Each colorway balances traditional detailing with a refined sensibility suited to contemporary styling. The retail price is ¥25,300 (tax included).

The Godney Boat Shoe is available now at Clarks Originals stores nationwide and through the official online store.
