Fairmont Tokyo to Offer Two Peach-Themed Afternoon Teas Starting July 1st — French and Japanese Styles Debut for Summer 2026

Fairmont Tokyo (Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is launching two peach-themed afternoon teas at its 35th-floor lobby lounge "Vue Mer (ビュメール)": a French-style Champagne and peach pairing and a Japanese-style sake-infused menu. Both will be available starting July 1, 2026 (Wednesday), which marks the hotel's first anniversary.

In addition to the afternoon teas, Vue Mer will also offer a "Peach Parfait," a high tea course called "Peach High Tea 'It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere,'" and seasonal take-home cakes during the same period.

"Peach & Champagne Afternoon Tea" — French Style

The French afternoon tea celebrates the hotel's first anniversary with a lineup of sweets and savories that pair the gentle sweetness of peach with the depth and elegance of Champagne.

Highlights among the sweets include a "Peach & Champagne Tart" — a Champagne-infused tart topped with vanilla cream and fresh peach, finished with popping candy — and a "Pêche de Vigne & Champagne Meringue," where small red vineyard peaches (ペッシュ ド ヴィーニュ) marinated in sauce are wrapped in airy meringue. On the savory side, a "Foie Gras Peach Melba" features Champagne jelly with foie gras mousse layered three ways, while a "Braised Beef Cheek Terrine" is brightened with pickled peach.

"Japanese Peach Afternoon Tea" — Japanese Style

The Japanese afternoon tea was crafted under the supervision of the head chefs from sushi restaurant "みぎわ (Migiwa)" and teppanyaki restaurant "燈辻 (Totsuji)," both located within the hotel. The menu centers on savories that bring together the delicate sweetness of seasonal peach with the rich umami of sake (日本酒) and sake lees (酒粕).

Savory offerings include "Inari Sushi with Semi-Dried Peach Pickles," sushi rice topped with accents of semi-dried peach with a plum-like fragrance; a "Bite-Sized Onigiri with White Fish Cured in Sake Lees and Myoga," using sake lees from the restaurant's own original sake "みぎわ"; "Wagyu Tataki with Caramelized Peach and Black Shichimi Konbu Salt," featuring caramelized peach wrapped in Japanese black wagyu; and "Sea Bass Kombu-Jime with Sake Jelly," where the flavor of sake spreads throughout.

Japanese sweets include "Peach Kohakuto (琥珀糖, amber candy)" and "White Peach Mizu-Warabi Mochi." Three flavors of original dorayaki are also on offer: anko (red bean), white peach, and yellow peach.

Both afternoon teas share a trolley service featuring seasonal sweets such as a white peach tart with raspberry syrup glaze and a "Champagne Jelly" with fresh peach and vanilla.

The tea selection includes "Lychee Peach," offering a vivid floral aroma of lychee and peach, and "Sweet Peach Oolong," a refreshing white-peach-scented oolong. A "Petit Bellini" cocktail of peach and Champagne is also available for an additional ¥1,200.

A special "1st Anniversary Limited Céline Jr." stuffed mascot add-on plan is also available. Céline Jr. is an original mascot created in collaboration with NICI (ニキ), a plush toy brand originating in Germany.
