Yunoko Onsen Umi to Yuyake, a seaside inn located in Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture, has begun accepting reservations for a new limited-time plan. The "Sashimi & Signature Fried Shrimp Gozen Plan" runs from June 5 to July 16, 2026.
A Dinner Plan for Those Who Prefer Quality Over Quantity
The inn normally offers a buffet-style dinner with its standard accommodation plans, which has proven popular among many guests. In recent years, however — particularly among guests in their senior years — there has been a growing demand for meals that are smaller in portion but more refined in quality: something to enjoy at a relaxed pace rather than navigating a large spread.
In response, the inn has introduced this limited-time gozen (set meal) plan. Dinner consists of the "Sashimi & Signature Fried Shrimp Gozen," featuring fresh sashimi from the Yatsushiro Sea alongside the inn's well-known fried shrimp, served at the table. Rather than a buffet format, the gozen style allows guests to savor each dish at their own pace without feeling rushed.
Guests can also enjoy a 90-minute all-you-can-drink service (including alcohol) at the buffet venue alongside the set meal. Dinner service runs from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
The plan is priced more affordably than the standard buffet plan, making it a lighter choice for those who want to enjoy an onsen trip without over-indulging.
