Mino Musume Strawberry: Gifu's Premium Brand
The "Mino Musume" strawberry, produced by Minori Farm in Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, is an original brand variety exclusive to Gifu Prefecture. This strawberry was specially bred for use in cakes and features a refined sweetness with sugar content of 10-12 degrees and a well-balanced acidity.
The large, cone-shaped fruit displays a beautiful contrast between its deep red exterior and pure white flesh, earning it the nickname "Crimson Diamond." Known for its fragrant and refreshing aroma, pleasant firm texture, and resistance to losing shape, Mino Musume is particularly well-suited for shortcakes. This regional variety is currently cultivated only in Gifu Prefecture, primarily in Gifu City, Kakamigahara City, and Motosu City, representing the region's expertise and high-quality strawberry production.
