Club InterContinental Lounge at Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay Reopens with a Stylish New Look

The Club InterContinental Lounge on the 20th floor of Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay (Minato-ku, Tokyo) is set to reopen on April 1, 2026, with a fresh new look. The redesigned space takes its cues from the themes of "light and the sea," and breakfast service will be expanded to include two new hot dish options alongside the existing buffet.

A Refined Space Defined by Light and the Sea

The lounge interior has been unified in a palette of white, black, and blue — colors that harmonize with the waterfront setting overlooking Tokyo Bay. The carpet features delicate illustrations of sea foam, open ocean, and whale sharks swimming beneath the surface, evoking a sense of calm. For lighting, translucent natural alabaster (alabastro) stone has been selected, casting a soft, gentle glow throughout the space.

Black and white iridescent glass tiles have also been incorporated, shifting their appearance as the light changes and adding a sophisticated nuance to the room.

A new "Common Space" featuring high tables has been added. A sliding partition allows this area to be used as a private room, making the lounge adaptable to a wider range of occasions.

Breakfast now offers a choice of main hot dish in addition to the buffet. Options include two new specialties — a Croque Madame (ham, cheese, and a fried egg finished with béchamel sauce) and Egg Cocotte with Spinach & Mushrooms, Minestrone, and Gratin — alongside Japanese cuisine and egg dishes.

Upper-Floor Guest Room Renovations

Rooms on floors 20 through 24 have also undergone renovation. Headboards and lighting have been refreshed, with alabaster bracket lights and dimmable fixtures bringing warmth and comfort to the room environment. Glossy gold walls are decorated with white leaf motifs and ink-painted eucalyptus designs, adding an elegant accent to the space.
