Hotel Intergate Kanazawa (Takaoka-machi, Kanazawa) is hosting a one-day pop-up event in collaboration with local wagashi shop Kanazawa Fukuusagi on June 27, 2026 (Saturday). The event is timed to the "Himuro no Hi" (Ice Room Day) tradition observed on July 1, and will take place during the lounge's Happy Hour from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
About Himuro Manju
"Himuro Manju" (氷室饅頭) is a traditional sake manju eaten in Kanazawa every year on July 1 to wish for good health throughout the summer. The custom traces back to the Kaga Domain era, when a ceremony known as "Himuro Biraki" (Ice Room Opening) was held. Today, the Himuro Manju remains a cherished seasonal confection that is unique to Kanazawa's culture and history.
Event Content
During the event, hotel guests can enjoy Kanazawa Fukuusagi's Himuro Manju at the Intergate Lounge on the 1st floor. Normally only available at the brand's main shop, this rare treat will be served alongside a special sales corner featuring the brand's variety of wagashi, plus a panel display introducing Kanazawa Fukuusagi's story and products.

Kanazawa Fukuusagi's Himuro Manju will be served complimentary to hotel guests during Happy Hour. Rooted in the history and culture of Kanazawa, it offers guests a chance to experience one of the city's most beloved seasonal traditions.

② Special Sales Corner & Panel Display
A special sales booth featuring Kanazawa Fukuusagi's wagashi lineup will be set up alongside introductory pop-up signs and a panel display. Guests can browse and purchase the brand's products and learn about the craft and care behind each item.
Survey Participation Bonus: Guests who complete a short survey on the day will receive one "Kanazawa Shizuku Jelly," a popular summer item from Kanazawa Fukuusagi—limited to the first 20 respondents.
About the Intergate Lounge
The Intergate Lounge is a cafe-style space available to all hotel guests throughout their stay at no charge. The lounge offers different food and drink options depending on the time of day:
- 6:00 AM–7:00 AM: Specialty coffee & smoothies
- 7:00 AM–10:30 AM: Freshly baked bread and vegetable-forward breakfast
- 10:30 AM–8:00 PM: Specialty coffee & soft drinks
- 3:00 PM–8:00 PM: Afternoon service
- 5:00 PM–7:00 PM: Happy Hour (cocktails, wine, etc.)
- 8:00 PM–10:00 PM: Nighttime service (ochazuke bar)
