P.Seven Tea Perfume Unveils Hecha Series Blending Japanese and Taiwanese Tea, With Pre-Sale at Isetan Shinjuku From October 7

P.Seven Tea Perfume, a perfume brand from Taiwan, is introducing a new series called the "Hecha Series" (合茶シリーズ). The series combines Japanese tea and Taiwanese tea and reinterprets the tea culture of both countries through fragrance. It is described as the world's first perfume series to pair Japanese tea with Taiwanese tea.

The series was developed in collaboration with the CHA Research Center (CHA研究センター) of Fukujuen, which has engaged with Japanese tea culture in Kyoto for more than 230 years. All three fragrances use a tea leaf extract (チャ葉エキス) drawn from Fukujuen's green tea, expressing in scent the different aesthetics of Japanese and Taiwanese tea and the spirit of tea culture the two share.

Together with "Ningxiang" (凝香), a new fragrance in the brand's Classic Series based on Taiwanese Sijichun tea (四季春茶), the Hecha Series goes on pre-sale at "Salon de Parfum 2026" (サロン ド パルファン 2026), held at Isetan Shinjuku from Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

About Salon de Parfum

Salon de Parfum (サロン ド パルファン), organized by the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group (三越伊勢丹グループ), is one of Japan's largest fragrance events, bringing together fragrance brands from Japan and overseas. This year marks the fourth time P.Seven Tea Perfume is exhibiting.

About the Hecha Series

Japanese tea and Taiwanese tea each have a distinct sense of beauty. Japanese tea values the time spent facing a single cup of tea, as well as stillness and empty space. Taiwanese tea comes with a culture of connection between people and of enjoying the individual character of tea from each region.

At the same time, the two share common ground rooted in Eastern tea culture: respect for nature, for time, and for people.

The Hecha Series does not compare Japanese tea with Taiwanese tea or let one stand out over the other. Through the shared word "tea," it aims to let the two cultures meet within a fragrance.

Guided by the spirit P.Seven has long valued, "舊 即是新" (the old becomes a new story), the series expresses long-inherited tea culture in the new form of scent.

About the Classic Series

P.Seven Tea Perfume's Classic Series expresses the aromas of traditional Taiwanese teas that have long been loved in Taiwan. The new release is "Ningxiang" (凝香), inspired by the Taiwanese tea Sijichun.

Taiwan Mingxiang Perfume (台湾茗香水), created when the brand was founded in 2012, was based on Jin Xuan tea, a long-time favorite in Taiwan. In 2024, the brand released "Jin Xuan Osmanthus" (金萱桂花), which layers Taiwanese osmanthus over Jin Xuan tea.

By drawing on the tea aromas familiar to people in Taiwan, the series evokes memories of everyday life and home. The Classic Series carries P.Seven's wish to pass Taiwanese tea culture on through fragrance.

New Fragrances: The Hecha Series

"Golden Drop" (黄金の一滴): Tea Leaf Extract From Fukujuen Green Tea

All three fragrances in the Hecha Series, "Japanese Tea × Taiwanese Tea," use a tea leaf extract drawn from Fukujuen's green tea. Inspired by Japanese tea culture, P.Seven named this extract the "Golden Drop" (黄金の一滴).

It is included in the series as a single drop symbolizing the meeting of two tea cultures, Japanese and Taiwanese.
