On November 8 (Sunday), 2026, HOTEL GRAPHY Shibuya will hold the fashion show "RAILWAY TO RUNWAY 2026" at SHIBUYA BRIDGE, the site where the hotel is located, as part of an area-management initiative run jointly with Tokyu Corporation. HOTEL GRAPHY Shibuya is part of LIVELY HOTELS, a collection of boutique and lifestyle hotels spanning six brands, 13 properties, and roughly 1,200 rooms nationwide.
The Second RAILWAY TO RUNWAY Returns to a Former Rail Line
RAILWAY TO RUNWAY debuted last year on the elevated site where the former Tokyu Toyoko Line tracks once ran, now redeveloped as SHIBUYA BRIDGE. For its second edition, the show collaborates with the buzzed-about fashion brand SAIKOUCHIKU.
A hotel is a place where different people, cultures, and values converge, and new value emerges from that mixing. RAILWAY TO RUNWAY 2026 leans into that role — a place to encounter the unfamiliar — by pairing the culture of hotels with that of fashion. Rather than foregrounding themes like upcycling, circularity, or diversity, the show aims to let visitors enjoy fashion freely through a sense of "cool" and "fun," with sustainable values coming through naturally along the way.
The runway will present 15 looks in total, including two pieces upcycled from secondhand clothing collected in Shibuya.
Walking the runway are SAM and YUTA, members of the alternative hip-hop unit KOMOREBI who are also active as fashion models.
A SAIKOUCHIKU apparel and goods pop-up shop and an after-party featuring a KOMOREBI performance round out the event.
Starting from fashion, the event sends out new value born from the intersection of the hotel, the local community, and creators — all from SHIBUYA BRIDGE.

Old Clothes Collection: Your Garment Could Walk the Runway
To create costumes for the show, old clothes are being collected. Unwanted garments are gathered and upcycled into newly designed pieces, part of an effort to keep resources in circulation. A piece someone lets go of could end up on the runway as a costume on the day of the event.

SAIKOUCHIKU

A brand built on the concept of "reconstructing thought," breaking down the idea of how things "should be" to propose new designs. Working from the belief that "fashion can be freer," SAIKOUCHIKU extends that thinking beyond clothing into art, space, and graphics, sending its perspective out to audiences in Japan and abroad.

KOMOREBI

An alternative hip-hop unit made up of four MCs — SAM, MAXI, YUTA, and MATHEUS — and one DJ, DJ OTA. The group began performing in earnest in 2023. Drawing on their own distinct roots, the five members intersect like light through trees ("komorebi") to express an original culture through music. Their borderless sound mixes hip-hop, rock, R&B, and pop across genre lines, paired with lyrics that portray dreams, hope, vulnerability, and anxiety in relatable terms, earning them a following among their generation for both aspiration and empathy. Their 2024 release "Giri Giri" spread widely on social media, surpassing 3 billion total plays on TikTok and reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Japan TikTok Weekly chart, TikTok's song ranking, and the Spotify Viral chart. It also won the "TikTokトレンド大賞2024" and the "Simeji presents Z世代トレンド大賞." In 2025 the group released its first EP, "ORBIS," and has continued to build its following as an artist, including hosting its own event series, "FROM TOKYO." All five members are also active as fashion models, embodying a persona that spans music, fashion, and culture.
