Red Bull Japan is hosting the first-ever Red Bull Sazanso beach obstacle race on November 18, 2025, at Seaside Momochi Beach Park in Fukuoka. This new beach fitness event challenges participants to sprint across the sand, clear various obstacles, and reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
Unique Features of Red Bull Sazanso
The event has three distinctive characteristics:
- Combined Challenge: Participants must clear obstacles while completing a total of 1km running distance
- Repeated Big Slopes: After each obstacle, participants face demanding big slope climbs
- Enhanced Difficulty: The sandy beach setting makes this obstacle race more challenging than indoor courses

Rules
- Individual race competing for time while clearing obstacles on sand
- No preliminary rounds or finals - single decisive race determines the winner
- Mixed gender race
- Two class divisions:
- Student Class: Ages 16+ currently enrolled in any school
- General Class: Non-students
Eligibility: Healthy men and women aged 16 and older (as of event day)
Minors require guardian consent and signature
Participation Fee: Free
