TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN is hosting a variety of summer events for visitors of all ages under the banner "TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN Summer Vacation Event 2026," running from July 10 (Fri) to August 31 (Mon), 2026. Directly connected to Oshiage Station and Tokyoskytree Station, the complex offers a cool indoor environment alongside exciting outdoor activities. During the summer vacation period, Tokyo Skytree's observation deck hours are also extended so visitors can enjoy the tower from morning through night.
Summer Beer Garden & BBQ Park
TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN Summer BeerFesta 2026: A Lawn BBQ Park Under the Tower
A popular summer beer garden returns to the 4th-floor Sky Arena at TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN. Themed around "a lawn under the tower where you can play and cool off," the venue is equipped with mist stations throughout to combat the summer heat. Guests can enjoy hands-free BBQ with all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink plans, along with food menus inspired by Japanese and international beers across five booths — from global cuisines to shaved ice and chilled sweets. Play equipment for children is set up on-site, making it suitable for families.

Traditional Summer Festivals at Tokyo Solamachi
(1) Sumida Ward Folk Dance Festival
The Soramachi Hiroba plaza hosts the community-led Sumida Ward Folk Dance Festival, where a traditional Bon Odori yagura (drum tower) is set up at the base of TOKYO SKYTREE. The event is free and open to all who want to join in the dancing.

(2) Tokyo Solamachi Summer Festival
Running on the same dates as the folk dance festival, the Tokyo Solamachi Summer Festival brings popular tenants out to the Soramachi Hiroba as food stalls, offering special summer menus and drinks. Additional festival activities are held inside the 1F Soramachi Shōtengai shopping arcade as well.

Kids' Summer Activities
(1) Soramachi Kids' Ennichi (Traditional Festival Stalls)
Classic Japanese festival game stalls line the 2nd-floor South Terrace, featuring rubber ball scooping, yo-yo balloon fishing, and ring toss — evoking the nostalgic atmosphere of an old-school shitamachi summer festival. Fun for the whole family.

(3) Big Insect Exhibition in TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN – "Insects Are Friends! Life in Japan"
Space 634 on the 5th floor of Tokyo Solamachi hosts this immersive insect exhibition. Highlights include the "Forest of Encounters," where visitors can touch live beetles and stag beetles, as well as live specimens of Hercules beetles and other rare insects from around the world. The exhibition also introduces silkworms that supported Japan's modern industry, giant Paraponera ants, and unusual cockroach species. Specimen workshops, craft classes, and other activities perfect for summer school projects are held regularly throughout the run.

(1) Cool Summer Views in TOKYO SKYTREE
Summer motifs including goldfish, lanterns, and wind chimes decorate the observation deck to evoke the atmosphere of a Japanese summer. Refreshing limited-edition drinks will also be available. Full details will be announced as they are confirmed.

(2) Sorakara-chan Limited-Time Greeting
The official TOKYO SKYTREE mascot Sorakara-chan appears in a summer sunflower-pattern yukata to greet visitors at the Tembo Deck.

(3) Chiikawa Collaboration Event: "Chiikawa ☆ Starry Skytree and the Secret Island"
Popular character "Chiikawa" returns for a second collaboration event at TOKYO SKYTREE — three years after the first. The event features decorations and displays steeped in the Chiikawa world, photo spots with beloved characters, limited-edition merchandise and café menu items, special footage screened on the giant window "SKYTREE ROUND THEATER," and special lighting designed to evoke each character.

Fireworks Welcome Dome
Before each planetarium show, a photography-permitted fireworks display is projected across the dome. Visitors can enjoy a fantastical fireworks experience in the cool, comfortable dome even on the hottest days.

New Show: "Looking for Shooting Stars feat. BUMP OF CHICKEN"
This new program explores shooting stars — from seasonal stargazing and how to spot meteor showers, to the cosmic origins of meteors. The Perseids and other meteor showers fill the dome as BUMP OF CHICKEN's music accompanies the journey.

(3) Postal Museum
"Tiny and Cute Exhibition"
The museum's collection includes miniature reproductions of everyday post office operations. This exhibition showcases these models alongside a collection of small-format stamps from around the world, in cooperation with the NPO Japan Philatelic Society.

"Posukuma and Summer Vacation 2026"
The beloved bear postal mascot "Posukuma" and friends visit the Postal Museum for an event featuring original artwork displays, greeting sessions, letter-writing workshops, and even a radio calisthenics session with Posukuma.
