Lounge & Bar Horizon on the 26th floor of Westin Hotel Sendai (Aoba-ku, Sendai) is offering seasonal summer shaved ice and cocktails from July 18 (Saturday) to August 31 (Monday), 2026. The seasonal menu centers on peaches grown at Hishinuma Farm in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture.
"Momo-Puri Kori" Shaved Ice
The shaved ice — a beloved annual summer tradition at Westin Hotel Sendai — returns this year with a creative arrangement from the hotel's pastry team, spotlighting fresh peaches from Hishinuma Farm. The farm's peaches develop their sweetness through ample sunlight and nutrients absorbed from the soil.
The "Momo-Puri Kori" (ももプリ氷) uses a house-made ice base prepared with Setouchi lemon and cream, topped generously with fresh peach slices. The lemon lends a gentle fragrance and light melt-in-the-mouth quality. Raspberry sauce adds a pleasant tartness that draws out the natural sweetness of the fruit. Completing the ensemble are a wasan-bon sugar custard pudding and a creamy fromage blanc espuma, which lend unexpected texture and a sense of discovery. As each spoonful is taken, the flavors and textures shift, delivering a parfait-like enjoyment. A caramel sauce is also served alongside.

The "Fresh Peach Bellini" blends pureed peach flesh with champagne, offering a direct taste of the fruit. The "Craft Cola" features a rum base layered with the deep aromatics, sweetness, and bitterness of craft cola. Both are available during the same period.
