Restaurant "Ash" on the 3rd floor of Cross Hotel Sapporo is offering a summer lunch buffet on weekends and holidays through August 30, 2026. Under the concept of "casual French cuisine that lifts the spirit," the buffet presents around 50 dishes in total, including 20 summer-limited selections that highlight seasonal vegetables and fruits.

Welcome cake in green and white for summer

A highlight of the service is the live wagon, which arrives to the dining room at the sound of a bell. Chefs wrap pasta with a wheel of Italian Grana Padano — approximately 50 cm in diameter — right at the tableside, finishing the dish with truffle aroma and rich cheese flavor.

The chef's specialty, Braised Lamb Shoulder with Spices, features lamb marinated in more than 10 kinds of spices for a full day and then braised for approximately 4 hours, resulting in a dish that showcases both the fragrance of the spices and the depth of the meat.

A two-tier welcome cake — one of the buffet's signature items — greets guests with a green-and-white design using melon and grapes to evoke the feel of summer. The dessert station keeps more than 10 varieties available at all times, centered on tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple.

Precious Time for 1:30 PM Entry Guests

Guests who enter at 1:30 PM are treated to a special "Precious Time" experience. In collaboration with Marumi Coffee, a popular Sapporo coffee shop, a coffee instructor hand-drips a carefully selected coffee one cup at a time and serves it in a wine glass at the table. This summer, the featured offering is a refreshing Kenyan specialty coffee paired with a summer-limited dessert. The coffee selection and dessert change each season.
