B's International, the company behind the Tokyo lifestyle labels Mid-Century MODERN, Styles, X-girl, and ROSE BUD, is releasing a limited product born from a three-way collaboration. The CERAMIC BASKETBALL PLANTER with BOX brings together ORIGINAL ROSE, the brand of New York-based artist Olivia Rose, and SPALDING, the storied sports brand celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.
The planter goes on sale in limited quantities at INSTALLATION POP UP, a three-day event running from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, at calif art gallery, the gallery space B's International operates in Nakameguro.
For the pop-up, the gallery is styled from floor to ceiling with vintage furniture from the neighboring interior shop Mid-Century MODERN. On the walls, SPALDING basketballs that were used in daily practice and set to be discarded hang alongside graphics by ORIGINAL ROSE as wall art, blending art and interior design throughout the space.

"LIVE with CULTURE"
ORIGINAL ROSE, the New York creative and plant-design studio, reinterprets an everyday icon as a planter for growing plants. Modeled on the basketball that symbolizes SPALDING, each piece is handcrafted at a workshop in Japan. Beyond serving as a planter, it also works as a vase, a tool box, or an art object for the room.
Each planter carries the ORIGINAL ROSE and SPALDING logos on the front, and on the back, the logo of one of B's International's four brands in a color inspired by that brand.

ORIGINAL ROSE is a creative studio founded by New York-based artist Olivia Rose. Working across art, fashion, basketball, plants, and landscape design, she creates from a distinct point of view that crosses multiple cultures. Drawing inspiration from the visual culture found in the streets of New York, she uses everyday materials and household objects to create sculptures, installations, and one-of-a-kind objects, reinterpreting functional items as unexpected art.
Olivia Rose was born and raised in New York and studied landscape architecture at Cornell University. calif art gallery is a gallery space that B's International, which edits and shares street culture, opened in Nakameguro. Alongside exhibitions by a range of artists from Japan and abroad, it sells art pieces and related goods, and works together with the neighboring interior shop Mid-Century MODERN to propose a lifestyle built around art and design.
The space reuses a former motorcycle garage, giving it an open ceiling roughly four meters high and easy loading access facing the street. Industrial touches such as a shutter and vinyl accordion curtain, both functional and rugged, give the space its own distinct character.
The gallery is also available to rent for art and fashion exhibitions, photo shoots, and other events.
