The Phoenix Seagaia Ocean Tower, the flagship hotel at Phoenix Seagaia Resort in Miyazaki, is set to launch the third series of its beloved "Jewel Angel" gemstone sweets collection on April 1, 2026. This latest edition revisits the concept of the original first series, with updates to both design and flavor profile.
The series was conceived by the hotel's general manager and patissière at the time, with the idea of creating sweets that feel like a special gift — both for loved ones and as a treat for oneself. Each piece is inspired by birthstones, which have long been cherished for their symbolic meanings and the good fortune they are said to bring. Given the meticulous care required to craft each one, availability is limited to just 30 pieces per month.

April's birthstone is the diamond — a gem formed over hundreds of millions of years, symbolizing "eternal bonds" and "purity." The April creation features a cherry blossom-flavored mousse filled with strawberry jam, capturing the essence of spring.
