Sanrio Character Park Harmonyland (Hiji Town, Oita) is bidding farewell to Parade Parallel, its popular parade beloved by guests for nearly a decade, as it heads toward its grand finale on May 9, 2027 (Sunday). Ahead of that milestone, Harmonyland will hold "Parade Parallel the FINAL" starting September 18, 2026 (Friday), as a thank-you to the many guests who have supported the parade over the years.

Since its debut in March 2015, Parade Parallel has been a popular parade at Harmonyland, cherished by guests for nearly ten years — even through a hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under the theme "Small Gift Big Smile," Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters have appeared in staging and costumes that change with the seasons, from Halloween to Christmas to Easter, delivering smiles and a "gift for the heart" to every guest.
Ahead of the grand finale on May 9, 2027 (Sunday), Harmonyland is holding a finale event so that longtime fans and first-time visitors alike can enjoy everything Parade Parallel has to offer, right up to its final performance. Before each parade during the event period, an introduction video featuring Kuromi highlights how to enjoy the parade and its key moments.
A message board where guests can write down their feelings about Parade Parallel will also appear in the park. Inside the Character Greeting Fan Studio, a limited-time photo spot themed around Parade Parallel's world will be set up, with its design changing each season.
Harmonyland is also inviting guests to share memories of the parade and messages to the characters on X. Selected posts will be featured on the park's official social media, the special event page, and monitors around the park, and 20 winners chosen by lottery will receive one of Parade Parallel's flags from past years.
During the event, guests can also meet characters in their seasonal parade costumes — Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and more — at a ticketed, reservation-only special greeting, or capture special memories with characters riding the parade's actual floats at a ticketed, reservation-only photo session. Limited-time food and merchandise inspired by the parade will also be available throughout the event.

Parade Parallel has been a popular parade at Harmonyland since 2015, delivering smiles and a "gift for the heart" to guests under the theme "Small Gift Big Smile."
Guided by mysterious characters who suddenly appear, four girls are led into a colorful, sweet, light-filled world they've never seen before, where Kitty, Mimmy, and their Sanrio friends await. The parade invites guests into a parallel world born from a small "if" — a "cute" kingdom shaped by imagination and magic.

A "Message Board & Photo Spot" Carrying Nearly Ten Years of Memories Into the Future
During the event, Harmonyland will set up a message board in the park where guests can write down their feelings about Parade Parallel. Guests are free to write about their memories from the past ten years or messages to the characters, adding color to a special space where they can share in the finale together.
A limited-time photo spot themed around Parade Parallel's world will also appear inside the Character Greeting Fan Studio. Its design changes each season, letting guests capture memories unique to the finale.

Share Your Feelings About Parade Parallel on Social Media
Harmonyland is inviting guests to share their memories of Parade Parallel, favorite scenes, and messages to the characters on X. Selected posts will be featured on the park's official social media and special event page, and displayed on monitors around the park before and after the parade.

Limited-Time "Parade Parallel the FINAL" Merchandise Featuring Parade Visuals
Shops throughout the park will sell limited-time merchandise commemorating the Parade Parallel finale event. The first wave includes mascots with beaded straps inspired by the colors of the parade floats, among other items.
A new flag is also on sale for guests who want to join in — waving the same flag as the parade dancers to help liven up the show.

"Parade Parallel the FINAL Special Photo Session" — an After-Hours Chance for Memories With Characters on the Parade Floats
Harmonyland will hold a special photo session where guests can capture finale memories with the characters alongside the actual floats used in Parade Parallel. Characters appear in their Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and original-season costumes for photos.
After the session, the characters ride the floats on a lap around Harmony Village. Participants also receive a gift set featuring the Parade Parallel logo, including an acrylic charm, postcard, and photo book.
