In Iwata City, Shizuoka, the wisteria at Kokoji Temple and Toyoda Kumano Memorial Park is approaching peak season. The nationally designated natural monument "Kumano no Nagafuji," estimated to be around 850 years old, joins five prefecturally designated wisteria trees to form a trellis spanning approximately 1,600 m², creating a breathtaking cascade of purple blooms each mid-to-late April.
